DBA

1. Short for DataBase Administrator, DataBase Analyst or DataBase Architect. DBA is the individual responsible for maintaining, analyzing and/or updating a computer Database. 
2. Short for Doing Business As, also known as Fictitious business name. DBA is a term used in legal or business writing. DBA helps describe an individual who runs a sole proprietor company not using his or her own name. The DBA helps establish legal ownership of that name.
