Domain Join

A feature introduced in Windows 7 that allows the user to quickly and securely connect remotely to their work domain using your work network credentials. To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Click Start.
  2. Right click Computer.
  3. Click properties.
  4. Under Computer name, domain and workgroup settings, click change settings. (You will need the administrator password to be able to do this.)
  5. Click the Computer name tab, then click Change.
  6. Under Member of, click Domain.
  7. Type in the name of the Domain you wish to join, then click OK.
  8. You will now need to enter your user name and password for the domain.
  9. Restart your computer.
