DVD Decrypter

A freeware program developed by Lightning UK! that enabled users to create copies of almost any DVD (digital versatile disc), circumventing most copy protections to view the files or make backups. The last release of DVD Decrypter was 3.5.4.0 before the developer abruptly stopped developing the program after receiving a cease and desist letter.
Macrovision Europe later acquired rights to the program. After the acquisition, the company changed the program's distribution rights and made the program illegal to download and obtain from any third-party company or website. Although this program may still be available on some sites and mirrors, Computer Hope cannot legally make it available through its website.
