A freeware software program
developed by Lightning UK! that enabled any user to create
copies of almost any DVD circumventing most copy protection and
view the files on any computer and/or make backups. The last
release of DVD Decrypter was 3.5.4.0 before the developer
abruptly stopped developing the program after receiving a cease
and desist letter.
The rights to this program have since then been acquired by
Macrovision Europe. After this acquisition the company changed
the programs distribution rights and made the program illegal to
download and obtain from any third-party company or website.
Although this program can still be located on some sites and
mirrors because of this change Computer Hope cannot legally make
this program available through its website.
