Dynamic disk

Updated: 10/04/2017 by Computer Hope

A dynamic disk is a disk drive that uses Logical Disk Manager (a small database) to process information on the disk such as volume letter, volume label, volume size, and more. This database is located in one megabyte of space at the end of the disk. Dynamic disks offer some features that typical ones do not, such as the ability to create volumes that span multiple disks.
