E-911

Short for Enhanced 911, E-911 is an extended 911 service provided to wireless callers that provide a 911 dispatcher with additional information from where the 911 call was made. Some of the information often included is a telephone number, location of the phone antenna picking up the call, and GPS location information often up to 50 meters of the cell phone.
