ECC

Short for Error-Correction Code, ECC is a method of detecting and then correcting errors within the computer memory.

When purchasing computer memory you may notice ECC or NON-ECC memory, or Error-Correction Code Memory / Non-Error Correction Code Memory. Generally, NON-ECC memory will always be cheaper.

Additional help and information about computer memory can be found on our memory help page.
