EDVAC

Short for Electronic Discrete Variable Automatic Computer, EDVAC is one of the first electronic computers that utilized the binary system that first began performing basic tasks in 1951. To the right is a public-domain U.S. Army Photo of the EDVAC, from K. Kempf. and the History of Computing.
