Also known as Doctor, Eliza was a form of artificial intelligence created by Dr. Joseph Weizenbaum in 1966, who was a part of the MIT Artificial Intelligence Lab. Eliza was a two hundred line program that made a user believe that he or she was talking to a real therapist.
