Flood

  1. When referring to computers, networks, software, or anything related to any of these, a flood is any information or data overflow that causes other users grief or causes other computers, hardware, or software to fail. For example, in a Denial of Service (DOS) attack a user sends millions of invalid packets or requests to another computer or network causing it to fail or slow down so much users stop using it.
  2. Another name for chat or forum Spam.
