Games Explorer

Updated: 05/03/2022 by Computer Hope

Introduced in Windows 7, Games Explorer is a feature that lets you see all games currently installed on your computer and find other games online. It includes basic information such as updates, system requirements, and ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) ratings.

Games Explorer is included in Windows 8 and Windows 10, but Microsoft removed it from Windows 10 with a later update. Windows 11 does not include Games Explorer. Instead, you can use the Microsoft Store and Xbox app to explore games for your computer.

How to open Games Explorer

  1. Click Start.
  2. Type games in the Windows search box.
  3. Press Enter or click the Games Explorer program in the search results.
