Glass house

Administrator in glass houseAlternatively referred to as a server room or server closet, a glass house is a name given to rooms often found in large corporations that contain the networking equipment (e.g. routers, switch, and broadband modem), servers, or mainframes that run the corporation's infrastructure. The name glass house is used because they are almost always an isolated room with glass windows for people to gaze into without disrupting anything and to reduce the equipment noise.
