GPRS

Alternatively called 2.5G, GPRS is short for General Packet Radio Service and is a packet-switched service based on GSM (Global System for Mobile communication). GPRS allows an ISP (Internet service provider) to charge users by the amount of downloaded content instead of time spent online, as they are always connected to the Internet.
