External Apple iSight camera.

Introduced by Apple in 2003 at the WWDC (Worldwide Developer Conference), iSight is an external and internal cameras used with Apple Macintosh devices. The original version was a standalone webcam that connected via FireWire. It could be mounted to Apple displays, laptops, all-in-one computers, and flat surfaces.

After the external version was discontinued on October 13, 2008, the iSight name was used to refer to the cameras built into iMacs, MacBooks, and Thunderbolt displays. However, in subsequent years, those became "Facetime cameras," and iSight was transitioned again to denote the rear-facing cameras on iPhones and iPads.
