Jump List

Jump List is a feature introduced in Windows 7.  This feature allows you to view recent documents in a program that is pinned to your taskbar. To do this, simply right click on any program that has an icon in the taskbar, and it will bring up a list of recently modified documents within that program. To the right is a picture of what this feature looks like.
