| Also sometimes referred to as a computer party a LAN party is a term used to describe a get
together of individuals and their computers. Generally, LAN parties are
held to play network games with other individuals and to share files.
Most network LAN parties contain around 10 people and their computer;
however, some companies and other enthusiasts can setup LAN parties
to host several hundred, and sometimes thousands, of different players
and their computers. Below is a picture taken by Oneras, an example of such an event.
