MDC

MDC may refer to any of the following:

1. Also known as a CDC (communications daughter card), MDC is short for mobile daughter card and was a notebook version of the AMR (audio/modem riser) introduced by Intel in 1998. This interface worked with specialized cards that included BDC (Bluetooth daughter card), EDC (Ethernet daughter card), and MDC (modem daughter card).

2. Short for modification detection code, MDC or MDC-2 is a CHF (cryptographic hash function), also known as a hash algorithm.
