Memory capacity

The memory capacity is the maximum or minimum amount of memory a computer or hardware device is capable of having or the required amount of memory required for a program to run.

For example, a computer software program may list memory requirements similar to those shown below.

Recommend 32MB of memory
Minimum 16MB of memory

In the above recommendations, the developer of the program recommends, for optimal performance, that the computer has 32MB of memory. However, it is capable of running with 16MB of memory, but may lack in performance.
