Navigation Pane
Introduced by Microsoft Windows Vista, the Navigation Pane has taken the place of the Places bar. Found on the left portion of the Open or Save as windows this section lists all of the drives that are mapped to the user's computer, as well as items such as History, Desktop, and Downloads that used to be on the Places bar.Below is an example image of what the Navigation Pane may look like.
