NCP

NCP may refer to any of the following:

1. Short for network control protocol, an NCP enables communication of protocols on PPP (point-to-point protocol).

2. With a Novell network, NCP is short for NetWare Core Protocol and is a file sharing protocol between client and server. Used with NetWare over a LAN (local area network), NetWare Core Protocol handles many requests, including those sent to the file and printing systems.
