Network Solutions is a company that deals in technology, with its primary division being domain name registration that started as a technology consulting firm in Washington D.C. in 1979. By 1986, Network Solution's revenue was $18.5 million and was later acquired by by VeriSign on March 7, 2000 for $21 Billion. Over 6.6 million domain names were being managed by Network Solutions as of January 2009. It was one of the largest domain name registration companies behind Go Daddy and eNom. Network Solutions offers additional services like web hosting, web page design and online marketing.
