1-by-1 GIF
Also commonly known as the invisible GIF, the 1-by-1 gif is a description of a GIF image that is 1 pixel in size and is commonly used to occupy a table or to keep track of activity. For example, the file __utm.gif is a small image file loaded on web pages with Google Analytics to help keep track of page views.
