Online editing

A term used to describe any edits or modification to documents, web pages, or other content online without copying or moving it offline. A good example of online editing is a user who modifies their web page, blog, or Wiki.

Although many online services and ISPs keep good backups users who only edit their content online should also make a backup of their important information offline.
