Opaque

Alternatively referred to as opacity, opaque refers to a
graphic,
image, or graphic
element that is not transparent.
For example, in the picture to the right, of the
Nokia cell phone the left-portion is set to 100% opacity and looks normal.
However, the right-portion of the phone is set to a 50% opacity, making the
right-side appear partially transparent.
2. When referring to a hardware device or software program, opaque may refer to not letting any information through that device or program, or a device or program that lets information through without looking at it.
