Platformer

A platformer, also called a platform game, is a video game where the central challenge is navigating a character across multiple disconnected platforms, usually by jumping. Classic examples of platformers include the games Pitfall!, Donkey Kong, Mega Man, Kid Icarus, Prince of Persia, and Earthworm Jim.
