Plop is a boot manager program, allowing users to boot different operating systems. Users have the option of loading the boot manager from a floppy disk, CD, or a network, or hard drive. Once in the boot manager, users can boot to an operating system using a hard drive, floppy disk, CD (compact disc), DVD (digital versatile disc), or even from a USB (universal serial bus) thumb drive.

Plop allows users to set up a portable operating system for various purposes, including troubleshooting and repair capabilities, various programming environments and other uses. Plop is a free program to download and use and works for booting nearly any Windows operating systems from Windows 95 to Windows 7.
