Socket 939 motherboard

Socket 939 is a CPU (central processing unit) and motherboard architecture released by AMD released by AMD in June 2004. It was superseded by Socket AM2 technology in May 2006, and the last motherboard to support Socket 939 technology was manufactured by ASRock in 2009.

Processors supported by Socket 939 technology included both single and dual-core versions of the Athlon 64, Athlon 64 FX, Athlon 64 X2, Sempron, and Opteron families of processors.
