Digital spatial digitizer

A spatial digitizer is a device or system that captures sizing information from physical spaces and objects and then converts it into digital data.

For instance, a three-dimensional object could be made into a digital model with a spatial digitizer recording the object's shape, size, and position in space. More specifically, a 3D scanner could capture a physical object's surface details and create a digital representation that could be manipulated or analyzed using a computer.

This technology is used in various fields, such as CAD (computer-aided design), VR (virtual reality), and robotics. There are different types of spatial digitizers. In addition to 3D scanners (mentioned above), there are digitizer tablets and motion capture systems.
