Status
1. Alternatively referred to as state, status is a term used to describe the current situation or mode the device or user currently is in. For example, a computer may have a status of working because it is operating without error.
2. A FTP command that displays the status of all FTP commands that can be turned on and off as shown in the below example. See the how to use ftp help page for information about status and other FTP commands.
