SuperTwisted Nematic

Abbreviated as STN, SuperTwisted Nematic is a liquid-crystal-display (LCD) used in portable computers and flat panel displays. STN builds on the twisted nematic (TN) method, which twists liquid molecules causing the LCD to have a sharper contrast and better viewing angle.
