UMB

Short for Upper Memory Block, UMB is areas of upper memory that are remapped into RAM. After this occurs, terminate-and-stay-resident programs (TSRs) and device drivers can be loaded into these blocks to free conventional memory for use by other programs.

See Memory diagram for complete memory layout.
