Uniformity
For computers and related technologies, defining and using uniform structure and design can help manufacturers and programmers develop new and improved technologies. Uniformity for computers can make it more efficient to move to new technologies and implement them for multiple computers, especially in a business setting.
In networking, uniformity can be seen in the type of cabling used for all devices in a network. There are many different components that make up a business network, but they can all be connected with the same type of network cable. Programming networks also uses uniformity by requiring specific protocols to be used to allow all the components to communicate with each other correctly.
