UPC
Short for Universal Product Code, UPC is a barcode found on the majority of all retail products.
In the picture to the right, is a UPC being scanned by a barcode reader. The UPC
was first introduced the the public when IBM introduces
the 3660 Supermarket System, which uses a laser to read grocery prices and UPC
bar codes.
