Viewable area

The viewable area of a screen or window is the area where the content can appear (this is often less than the full area taken up by a television, monitor, or window due to borders, menus, and any controls. For example, a computer monitor may be 24x14 inches with a viewable area of 22x12 inches, where the actual screen appears within the physical monitor.
