Warranty

An agreed upon term that covers a computer or computer component. Generally, most computers have a one or three year warranty. This warranty may or may not cover the service, repair and replacement of computer parts.

An extended warranty is an available option provided by manufacturers or third-party companies that provide additional support and/or repair of a computer or other hardware devices beyond its standard warranty.

  • Computer Hope is unable to provide users any warranty information regarding their computer or computer equipment. This information must be obtained from the manufacturer. See document CH000482 for additional information.
  • See document CH000699 for our recommendation on purchasing an extended warranty.
