Short for Zeroday Emergency Response Team, ZERT is a group of engineers who have extensive knowledge in reverse engineering software, firmware, and hardware. The group works together to create and release non-vendor patches that can help protect software programs and hardware from zero-day flaws until the vendor creates an official patch.
