* Virus:

Internetnews.com -- W32/Israz-A is an email worm that spreads using its own SMTP engine. W32/Israz-A also targets the KaZaA file sharing utility. Upon execution the worm creates copies of itself in the Windows system folder with the filenames vShell.exe and Win32.exe.

* Security:

Internetnews.com -- The series of Bill Gates email chain letters is topping the charts as the most prevalent scam on the Internet, choking corporate in-boxes, clogging bandwidth and causing headaches for IT managers

vnunet.com -- Microsoft released three security bulletins yesterday, one 'critical' and two 'important', which between them cover all Windows platforms.

story.news.yahoo.com -- A new Web site spoofs the PayPal Inc. online payment site and attempts to trick PayPal customers into divulging sensitive account and billing information. The fake Web site is the latest example in what security experts say is a rising trend of "brand spoofing" scams.
