1. New Computer Term.
DDR - 1. Short for Double Data Rate, DDR is a type of memory
which utilizes both the rising and falling edge of the
system clock which could potentially double the speed of
the memory. Today the DDR technology can be found in high
end Video Cards as well as computer memory such as
DDR-SDRAM. Also see SDRAM. 2. DDR is also short for
Dial-on-Demand Routing, developed by Cisco DDR is a new
routing technique that uses existing telephone lines to
help form a WAN.
