Metcalfe's Law ( http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/m/metcalfe.htm ) -
Coined by Robert Metcalfe, the inventor of Ethernet, Metcalfe's Law states that the value of a network grows by the square of the size of the network. The idea behind this law is that a networks value is increased as the size of the network increases, this law is often referred to when talking about the Internet's value. For example if the network has 5 machines its value would be 25 (5^2=25), but if another network had 1000 machines its value would be 1,000,000.
This law is also considered applicable to more then just the Internet or a computer network. For example a software product may increase in value as it grows in size. If a product only has 25 users it is less likely to be known and used. However, if a product has 1,000 users it is more likely to be known and used and introduced to more users.

6. All Talk
------------------------------------------------------------
http://www.skype.com/
From the same people that brought you KaZaA, Skype is a P2P technology that enables users to talk and chat with family and friends. With this service users can have unlimited worldwide encrypted phone calls with other Skype users with better quality than your regular phone. To use the service you must have a Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP computer, an Internet connection, microphone, sound card, and speakers. Although not the only company to offer this type of service with over three million downloads in the last few days, the available feature this service currently offers, and the team behind it, we would recommend giving this service a try.
