* Virus:
- PC viruses spawn $55 billion loss in 2003
zdnet.com.com -- Trend Micro, the world's third-largest antivirus software maker, said Friday that computer virus attacks cost global businesses an estimated $55 billion in damages in 2003, a sum that is expected to increase this year.
* Security:
- Phishing For Your Money
informationweek.com -- A new trojan that's an offshoot of a recently discovered Internet worm is attempting to empty PC users' bank accounts by duping them into disclosing personal information, an antivirus company said Friday.
- Microsoft Issues 3 Patches; IE Fix Delayed
Internetnews.com -- Microsoft on Tuesday issued three security bulletins in order to fix vulnerabilities in its ISA Server 2000, Exchange Server 2003 and Windows products as part of its once-a-month schedule for patches.
- Microsoft Warns of VoIP Vulnerability
Microsoft issued its first security patches of the new year Tuesday, warning users about a critical vulnerability in a component of the Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration Server used to control IP telephony traffic.
