* Virus:

infoworld.com -- A new version of the NetSky e-mail worm has begun circulating through the Internet, antivirus software companies reported on Wednesday.

reuters.co.uk -- Security experts have issued fresh alerts over a new, file-deleting version of the MyDoom e-mail worm that is targeting computer users with greater ferocity.


* Security:

eweek.com -- Security analysts on Friday reported that versions of the popular ZIP file management program WinZip have a serious security flaw

theregister.co.uk -- Oh dear, oh dear. F-Secure's UK antivirus mailing list became the unwitting vector for the spread of Netsky-B worm this week after the AV vendor failed to stop an infected email from making it onto its security list.

news.bbc.co.uk -- Malicious hackers and vandals are lazy and wait for Microsoft to issue patches before they produce tools to work out how to exploit loopholes in Windows, say experts.

pcworld.com -- America Online has taken steps to stop the spread of a worm that began attacking ICQ instant messaging users this week.

pcworld.com -- It's a grab bag of Microsoft updates this month: You need to know about a new hole in Internet Explorer. Plus, the company announced that it was extending all paid support for Windows 98 and Me.

story.news.yahoo.com -- Zone Labs has alerted users that several versions of its personal firewall products are vulnerable to a buffer overflow attack conducted via e-mail that could leave supposedly-protected systems open to malicious code assaults, the company said
