1. New Computer Term.
CNR - CNR is short for Communication and Network Riser and
is new specification that supports audio, modem USB and
Local Area Networking interfaces of core logic chipsets.
This technology was first introduced by Intel
February 07, 2000 and was mainly developed by leading
hardware and software developers who helped release the
AMR (Audio / Modem Riser) today CNR is being shipped
with several different computer manufactures computers.

2. What's new in the news last week?
* WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. government watchdog group
announced on Thursday that printer giant Canon USA Inc. was
recalling about 60,000 combination facsimile and copier
machines because they posed a fire risk.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said Canon USA
had received five reports of the ``Faxphones'' catching
fire and causing damage to the machines, which have the
model number B640. No injuries were reported.
The units being recalled, which were sold from October 1999
through May 2001, have serial numbers UKK52923 to
UKK 55442, UKK60513 to UKK99999 and YKK02001 to YKK20000.
* Microsoft has quietly posted a second collection of
Windows 2000 bug fixes, indicating the official release
of an update could come this week.
