Dynamic allocation ( http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/d/dynamica.htm ) -
1. Also known as a heap allocation, when referring to computer memory a dynamic allocation is the computer memory process of allocation and de-allocation segments of memory.
2. When referring to a network or network device, dynamic allocation is the automatic assignment of addresses. For example addresses being assigned by DHCP.

Russian server blamed for latest Web virus
sfgate.com -- Web surfers are no longer playing Russian roulette each time they visit a Web site, security researchers said Friday after a far-reaching Internet attack had been disarmed.
* Security:
Most Web Users Safe As Major Net Attack Slows
crn.com -- A widespread attack on Web servers and sites continued Friday, but the Russian hacker site that was delivering malicious code to client machines has been shut down, removing - at least temporarily - the danger to users of Internet Explorer.
Web browser flaw prompts warning
news.bbc.co.uk -- Users are being told to avoid using Internet Explorer until Microsoft patches a serious security hole in it.

Hi-Tech Swindlers Fleece Internet Users
news.scotsman.com -- Internet users are being fleeced by hi-tech swindlers who infect their computers with a virus which makes them repeatedly dial expensive premium-rate phone lines, MPs warned today.
Spyware Is Everywhere
story.news.yahoo.com -- Nearly one in three computers scanned by EarthLink and Webroot in their second monthly SpyAudit were found infected with a Trojan horse or system monitor planted by spyware, the two companies said. Internet service provider EarthLink and Webroot, a message security software maker, scanned more than 420,000 PCs during April and found nearly 134,000 Trojans or systems monitors.

Everyone who has used a mobile or portable device knows how much of a pain and hassle batteries can be. This week Toshiba announced the world's smallest Direct Methanol Fuel Cell, although the cell is only capable of a 100 Milliwatts of output, this cell could still be used with small devices such as digital audio players and even mobile phones. What makes this power device different from a rechargeable battery is the ability of being powered from methanol, which means as long as the fuel tank is kept full the device can run as long as the user needs it. We cant wait to see actual products running these types of power sources in the future.
