* Security:
Microsoft issues patch for 'critical' JPEG-handling flaw
computerworld.com -- Microsoft Corp. today released a patch for its latest "critical" security flaw affecting how Windows, Office and developer tools software process images in the JPEG image format.
Scammers use Gmail invite as phishing hook
news.com.com -- Scammers have caught on to the allure of Gmail and are using the Google e-mail service for a "phishing" scam to harvest e-mail addresses and passwords.
* Privacy:
IBM protects passwords with PC chip
news.com.com -- IBM plans to start shipping its PCs with a new chip designed to thwart hackers by safeguarding passwords and other sensitive identity information.

4. What's new at Computer Hope this week?
------------------------------------------------------------
* Been doing _a lot_ of work recently on scripts and programs to help improve our e-mail and other services. Updated news and newsletter scripts with additional fixes. Updated the word converter script with several additional new fixes and getting closer to implementing this into other services. Updated several behind the scene mail scripts to help increase the productivity of how the mail for customer service is handled. This is the first script of many to be updated over the next few weeks.
- Updated, modified, and added several MS-DOS commands and related pages. This update included adding several Windows 2000 and XP recovery console commands
- Updated, modified, and added several questions and answers to our Q&A database.
- Updated dictionary with several new dictionary definitions.
- Performed other minor updates throughout website.
Because of all these updates and changes we were unable to release last weeks newsletter and had to delay this newsletter until all changes were made and updated to server.

This week we came across the Earlighter by RadTech, the Earlighter is a handless flashlight that attaches to your ear, much like a hands free headphone on a cell phone. This is a great idea for those of you who need to work on something that also requires a flashlight, for example the inside of a computer case in a dark area.
