1. Weekly Computer Term.
------------------------------------------------------------
Collision ( http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/c/collisio.htm ) -
Term used to describe when one or more computers or networking devices attempt to send data at the same time to one computer, server, or other network device. When collisions are encountered the computer, server or network device will send back a request to try sending the data again.
Collisions on networks can generally be determined by looking at the network card, network hardware for a amber or red light. Network collisions can also be detected by using software or diagnostic programs on some network hardware.

This week we came across the Sony LF-X1 a 12.1" LocationFree TV, a great idea that enables you to access your favorite content on a wireless receiver (a 12.1 inch monitor). What makes the Sony LF-X1 so unique when compared to other similar devices is its ability not only to access TV and movies wireless, but also the Internet, e-mail, camcorders, etc. The base station has 2 composite video inputs, 1 S Video input, 1 composite video output, an IR blaster, an Ethernet port, and even 2 USB ports. Although a little pricey this is a great product for those of us who dont want to be tied to a couch or chair.
