Embedded command ( http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/e/embecomm.htm ) -
Term used to describe a series of commands or additional functions to format the layout or appearance of text within a word processor. Embedded commands are generally not visible when editing a word processor document today. However, in some cases can be viewed by using a special view mode in the word processor program.

Microsoft: WINS Patch Coming
Internetnews.com -- Microsoft said it plans to issue a patch for a security flaw in Windows Server software that may allow attackers to gain control over systems running the program.

Microsoft Issues Internet Explorer Security Update
reuters.com -- A critical flaw in Microsoft Corp.'s Internet Explorer Web browser could allow a hacker to take control of a computer, the world's largest software maker said on Wednesday.

* Privacy:

'Tis The Season To Be Wary
securitypipeline.com -- The holiday scam-mail rush is on, and odds are that you, your family, colleagues, and employees are on the address list. Among the biggest threats: phishers, who use legitimate-looking e-mails to obtain credit-card, financial, and other private information.
