Filterkeys ( http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/f/filterke.htm ) -
Microsoft Windows 95 and above accessibility feature that allows the computer to ignore brief and repeated keystrokes that may be caused by slow and/or inaccurate finger movements.
To setup filterkeys click Start, Settings, Control Panel, double click Accessibility Options and within the Keyboard tab check the option to enable filterkeys. Clicking the Settings button will allow you to modify how the filterkeys work.

news.zdnet.co.uk -- Computer game players could fall victim to a new worm that hides itself behind a version of Tetris
Year's First Worms Surface
techtree.com -- The UK-based antivirus firm Sophos has said it has discovered a mass-mailing worm, which offers a Happy New Year message in the form of a photograph of naked bodies.
* Security:
Experts warn of trick to bypass IE download warnings
computerworld.com -- A computer security researcher and an antivirus company are warning Microsoft Corp. customers about an unpatched hole in the company's Internet Explorer Web browser that could allow a remote attacker to bypass security warnings and download malicious content onto vulnerable systems.
Microsoft asks its users to muck in with security testing
software.silicon.com -- With aspirations to be an antivirus and anti-spyware vendor, Microsoft is opening up its security procedures to the outside world a little more: the Redmond giant is enlisting the help of outside testers for its security patches.
Apple fixes flaw with iTunes update
news.com.com -- Apple on Tuesday released an update of its iTunes software to address a vulnerability that could cause earlier versions to crash and execute arbitrary code.
Microsoft slips out NT4 patch
computerweekly.com -- Microsoft has quietly ignored its 31 December deadline for the end of free security updates for users of its NT4 operating system.
'Critical' patches released for Windows, IE
news.com.com -- Microsoft on Tuesday released two critical patches for its Windows operating system, but a patch for the underlying security problems with Internet Explorer 6 is not yet ready for prime time.
* Privacy:
Hacker penetrates T-Mobile systems
securityfocus.com -- A sophisticated computer hacker had access to servers at wireless giant T-Mobile for at least a year, which he used to monitor U.S. Secret Service e-mail, obtain customers' passwords and Social Security numbers, and download candid photos taken by Sidekick users, including Hollywood celebrities, SecurityFocus has learned.
GMail Messages are Vulnerable to Interception
dump.hbx.us -- It all started about 3 days ago when MrYowler and I were working on a mailing list script to send out a batch of newsletters for a free hacker-friendly shell service we operate. We made the decision to keep it simple; a Perl script based upon the Net::SMTP CPAN module. Being the Perl guru that MrYowler is (shut up! people will start having expectations of me! ;-P), he had one whipped up in about 20 minutes. In the course of testing the script, we cranked out 10 newsletters to our GMail inboxes. We were a little shocked with that happened next.

4. What's new at Computer Hope this week?

- Added new Unix commands to database.
- Posted the first updates of our Q&A update. Pages 1 - 100 have been proofread and have had hundreds of updates done to them.
- Created new Google search page script. News articles and any other search references throughout Computer Hope will be linked to this page. This will allow Computer Hope news readers to quickly search for a news article if the original has been lost over time. With this change all the "old news headlines" will be parsed into a easy to read table with an appropriate link to the Google search page on each article.
- Corrected all known serious issues with the news and newsletter scripts. Added additional fixes that have also been need.
- Updated search engine with minor fixes.
- Performed other minor updates throughout site.

This week we came across "The Rasterbator", a great idea and fun program that enable users to print large posters and even a full wall image on any standard printer. Rasterbator works by taking any image and making it bigger by breaking the full image into multiple standard pages. This is great for anyone who wants something original in their room or for someone who ever wanted a full poster of something they know or love in their room and is not concerned about their printers ink. Users who are not interested in doing this will likely still enjoy looking through the web page and the hundreds of examples that people have already done.
