Font conversion ( http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/f/fontconv.htm ) -
The process performed by a program or the user that involves changing a font that may not be supported to another font. Today, many programs such as Internet browsers will convert a font to a default font such as Times New Roman if the font required is not present on the computer.

A critical flaw in a compression format widely used in Linux and Unix can give hackers a way into machines, security experts say.
Critical fixes for Windows, Office
techtree.com -- Microsoft plans to release three security alerts for flaws in Windows and Office as part of its monthly patching cycle.
IM Threats Skyrocket
Internetnews.com -- Threats targeting instant messaging and P2P networks exploded last month, as reports jumped nearly 400 percent, according to security firm Akonix.
Exploit fear grows around Firefox flaw
networks.silicon.com -- Computer code that could be used to attack systems with older versions of Firefox has been released on the Internet, security experts have warned.
Soaring malware levels hint at criminal activity
news.com.com -- Security company Sophos has seen a dramatic rise in the number of viruses, worms and Trojan horses this year as more organized criminals turn to cybercrime.
Flaw threatens Acrobat documents
infoworld.com -- Adobe has warned of a serious flaw affecting one of the most widely distributed client applications, Acrobat Reader. The flaw leaves users open to attack via maliciously crafted PDF files, which can be spread via e-mail attachment Web page links, and can be used to take control of a system.
Open Source Blogs, Wikis at Risk From New Flaw
Internetnews.com -- A highly critical vulnerability has been found in XML-Remote Procedure Call, which impacts many open source applications that use the vital software component.
Microsoft to offer fix for another IE vulnerability
techworld.com -- Microsoft has released software that can be used to mitigate a critical vulnerability in Internet Explorer. The bug, which concerns the way IE handles ActiveX components, can cause the browser to crash and could be used by an attacker to run unauthorised software on the IE user's machine, according to Microsoft.

This week we came across another interesting idea for a computer keyboard called the abKey. The keyboard arranges the keys in an alphabetical format with the most common keys on the home row. In addition to the different key placement the keyboard also is ergonomic designed enabling you to type faster at more comfort.

A fun Macromedia Flash game we came across recently that displays several Google images found using an unknown keyword, which you must guess in a few seconds by looking at all the different images.
