Input/output controller ( http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/i/iocont.htm ) -
Also known as an input/output interface, IOC, or PIOC for Peripheral input/output controller. The input/input controller is a device that interfaces between an input or output device and the computer or hardware device. The input/output controller on computers is commonly located on the motherboard. However, an I/O controller can also be an internal add-on that can either be used as a replacement or to allow for additional input or output devices for the computer.

While working on a new question and answer document we came across FreeSerifSoftware.com a great site with a lot of great free programs, and not the ordinary small programs either. This site contains free downloads for "PagePlus" - a free desktop publishing program, "PhotoPlus" - a free photo and image editing program, "WebPlus" - a free Web Site and publishing program, "DrawPlus" - a free Graphic design and vector drawing program, and even "3DPlus" - a free 3D animation and modeling program. Before installing any of these programs we would like our users to know that the company will require a valid e-mail for a registration code. It's very likely this e-mail address is used to advertise other products.

Also this week Microsoft released a Windows XP MSCONFIG update. This update adds a Tools tab to the System Configuration Utility (msconfig.exe). The Tools tab will allow further diagnostic tools to be launched from within the System Configuration Utility. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.
