4. What's new at Computer Hope this week?
------------------------------------------------------------

- For the upcoming year of 2006 Computer Hope has re-posted all of its pages, below is a short list of some of the major changes.

1. Removed advanced search button on all pages.
2. All pages are now utilizing CSS for font and display settings. With this change the pages are now using Trebuchet MS, Arial, Helvetica, and Sans-serif as the default fonts. We believe this should make the pages easier to read. Finally this change also now makes viewed links a dark blue, helping users know what has been seen and what has not.
3. Cleaned up HTML code on all pages, correcting, removing, and updating over 400,000 different HTML tags throughout the site. This change should help with accessibility, the speed each page loads at, and help conserve bandwidth.

- Because of the continued abuse of the forums by some of the Computer Hope users the forums are now Member post only. All users can still sign up for the forums for free, however you must register before being able to post.
- Added additional third-party companies, definitions, and other updates.

Fantastic free service that allows any user to quickly search and locate free online college courses and educational material in almost any industry from such locations as MIT, Utah State University, Carnegie Mellon, and more. Unfortunately we were unable to find any introductions to basic programs such as Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc., however anyone interested in learning more about a particular topic such as a new language, Computer Science, Mathematics, etc. should definitely give this site a try.

We recently also came across an AVG Free Edition, a free antivirus protection program for private, non-commercial, single home users. If you're a home user who is looking for a new antivirus protection program or don't already have an antivirus program installed on your computer you may want to consider using this free protection program.
