Drop shadow ( http://www.computerhope.com/jargon/d/dropshad.htm ) -
A dark overlay that covers a section of text or a graphic that makes the object appear three-dimensional. In operating systems and software programs, drop shadows are commonly used to bring attention to an object, such as a dialog box when it opens on the screen.

Top News Story: Lenovo to recall 526,000 notebook batteries

news.com.com -- Lenovo will recall 526,000 notebook batteries due to faulty batteries, the company said on Thursday.

Related Stories: Dell recalls 100,000 more battery packs
news.yahoo.com -- Dell Inc., the world's largest personal computer maker, said Friday that it is increasing the recall of Sony Corp. battery packs used in its systems to 4.2 million units from 4.1 million units.

Sony to Initiate Global Replacement Program for Notebook Comp...
japancorp.net -- Sony Corporation will initiate a global replacement program for certain battery packs that utilize Sony-manufactured lithium ion cells used by notebook computer manufacturers in order to address concern related to recent over-heating incidents. Sony always strives to deliver the highest level of satisfaction to its customers and all consumers. We believe that this program is in the best interest of both our customers and all consumers.

Cybercrooks add Windows flaw to arsenal
news.com.com -- Attackers have added another, yet-to-be-patched Windows flaw to their arsenal, experts warned Saturday.

Hackers claim zero-day flaw in Firefox
news.com.com -- The open-source Firefox Web browser is critically flawed in the way it handles JavaScript, two hackers said Saturday afternoon.

Second third-party fix out for Windows bug
news.com.com -- For the second time in as many weeks a group of security professionals has released a third-party fix for a Windows flaw that is actively being used in cyberattacks.

Apple releases Mac OS X security update
news.com.com -- Apple Computer released an update Friday for Mac OS X to fix several vulnerabilities that could allow attackers to execute code on unpatched systems.

Microsoft warns of Windows flaw
cbc.ca -- Microsoft Corp. warned in an advisory on Thursday that a flaw in its Windows operating system could let an attacker hijack a computer through the Internet Explorer web browser.

Microsoft rushes out 'critical' fix
news.com.com -- Microsoft issued a "critical" security fix for Windows on Tuesday, two weeks before its scheduled release date.

The company is breaking with its monthly patch cycle to fix a flaw that cybercrooks have been using to attack Windows PCs via Internet Explorer. Malicious software can be loaded, unbeknownst to the user, onto a vulnerable Windows PC when the user clicks on a malicious link on a Web site or an e-mail message.

- Posted another site-wide update. This update contained a lot of new accessibility improvements, a new updated bottom navigation for each of the pages, removed excess HTML code from a majority of all pages to help load times, and updated the look of each of the dictionary definitions.
